Introduction & Australian Consumer Law Guarantees

At Smoky Grotto, we prioritize client satisfaction and aim to provide a transparent experience for collectors and enthusiasts. Our policy is fully aligned with standard legal consumer protections.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

If a product has a major defect or does not match its description, you have a legal right to a refund, repair, or replacement, and we will cover all associated administrative and transit costs to resolve the issue promptly.

Return Window & Eligibility

If you change your mind about a purchase, we provide a generous return window of 30 business days from the official date of delivery. We want you to feel confident with your selection, allowing you to examine the item upon arrival:

• Product Condition: We welcome returns of items provided they remain in a fully resalable condition with all original packaging, protective inserts, and secondary components intact and returned.
• Objective Physical Characteristics: For our collectible wooden items, please note that minor color variations under different light settings or digital displays, and unique organic grain patterns on natural briar surfaces, are inherent characteristics of natural materials. These variations are entirely normal and do not impact the functionality of the product. If you are not completely satisfied with these unique physical features, you are welcome to initiate a standard return within the 30 business days window. We do not utilize these natural variations to restrict or limit your eligible return rights.

How to Initiate a Return

Prior to shipping any items back, you must contact our support desk at Info@smokygrotto.com to request a formal Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) code and confirm the correct warehouse delivery address. Please note that returning packages without an authorized RMA code will cause significant administrative routing delays. Once you initiate contact, our team will provide you with the specific RMA code and the correct handling facility instructions.

Return Shipping Costs

We allocate return freight responsibilities based strictly on the foundational reason for the return:

• Quality Issues or Defective Items: If you receive an item that is damaged, functionally defective, or incorrect, please notify us immediately. We assume full responsibility for the return logistics, and we will cover all return shipping costs to resolve the issue completely.
• Change of Mind: If you choose to return an item due to a general change of mind or an incorrect selection, you will be responsible for obtaining and purchasing the return shipping label.

Restocking Fees

We maintain a transparent cost structure and do not charge processing deductions:

• Restocking Fee: $0.00

The entire eligible purchase amount will be credited back to your account without any processing deductions or administrative penalties.

Refund Process & Timeline

Once your package is received at our designated returns facility, please allow 1-3 business days for intake verification and product review. During this timeframe, we will verify that all components and original parts have been safely accounted for.

• Refund Issuance: Upon successful inspection and approval of the return, we will immediately issue a refund to your original method of payment.
• Financial Institution Processing Time: Please allow an additional 5-10 business days for the refunded balance to reflect on your bank statement or credit card summary, depending entirely on your financial institution’s internal processing cycles.

Order Cancellations & Fraud Prevention

• Order Cancellations: If you need to cancel a transaction, you must contact us within 12 hours of placement. If the order has already entered administrative fulfillment and been handed over to the transport carrier, we can no longer halt the package, and you will need to follow standard return protocols upon delivery.
• Fraud Prevention: To protect our legitimate buyers, we reserve the right to monitor returning patterns and verify that all returned merchandise perfectly matches the original parcel weight and serial signatures. Refunds will not be finalized for items returned with missing primary elements or showing clear indications of intentional physical damage.
